From their delectable menu options to the way the chosen dishes are served, all of it is quite impressive. The fairly recent addition on the ever growing home chef horizon, The Oudh Table as the name suggests has Lucknowi cuisine as its USP and they remain true to that from their weekend menu items to the final taste of delivered food.
I had selected Mutton Pulav and Chicken out of the weekend menu. Happy to note that the selection, ordering and final delivery of the food items was smooth affair. Thanks to the modern age technology involved, the whole process was relatively hassle free and quick. This is definitely easier way to procure authentic Lucknowi food than it must have been in the days of yore.
Now coming to the most important aspect of the taste test. The Oudhi Mutton Pulav declared its authenticity while opening up the carton itself, with the aroma of ghee and spices. On the tasting side, the basmati rice intercepted with soft mutton pieces were sufficiently spiced. The mutton was tender, perfectly cooked to the bone and thus, not at all chewy. The accompanying rice having optimum taste, provided a perfect company to it.
I had also ordered for Murg Badami Kabab which proved to be a wholesome dish in itself. Mildly spiced and packed with awesome taste, these kababs went well with the remaining portion of Pulav rice and even with homemade rotis as a leftover snack.
All in all, I am pleased with this home based venture of serving authentic Oudh food and will definitely recommend more people to join in its growing fan base. It was a worthy nostalgic trip down the memory lane to remind me of tasting similar food in the homes of my friends and acquaintances so many years ago.
