Evidence of the Affair | Taylor Jenkins Reid

What a cracking little novella this is, simply superb!!

Exclusively presented by Amazon, it’s all the fun to hear it as an audiobook, specially the narrators selected by Audible are perfect to the T. They convey the distinct voices of the characters perfectly and sometimes in the middle of the story it feels like witnessing a tennis doubles match, a smash from here and a Love All from there.

But real life is no match to any sporting event, no matter how much exciting. Therefore, what happens within these four people is far more thrilling but at the same time difficult to understand for an outsider. So, no wonder that Carrie reaches out to David to make sense of their respective marriages, which have became entwined because their spouses are having a long-standing affair. Both Carrie as well as David discover about this when they come across some steamy love letter sent from one’s husband to other’s wife. This mail correspondence between these four characters is what drives the story and takes it to the predictable twist of an ending.

Saying more would be giving away much of what conspires in this small bundle of surprises. If you love a good story and yes, if you are those hopeless romantics like me who miss those love letters era of yore, then you would definitely love this one. So, go ahead, sit down with hot cuppa to enjoy this steamy story.

An unplanned lunch date At Urban Tadka

We initially planned to visit another restaurant but finally ended up having lunch at Urban Tadka. At first glance, the restaurant’s interior is nondescript. Unlike some other North Indian/Punjabi restaurants, it doesn’t announce itself with its décor. Maybe because it’s tucked inside a busy mall on the ever-busy Ghodbundar Road stretch in Thane. That said, […]
